Engineer Speak

We visited the paediatric orthopaedic guy for Zara today. He's cool because he talks like an engineer, angles, piezoelectric activity, structures and faults. It all makes sense to me when the body is spoken about like a machine or a structural device with weight bearing joints. It turns out that he used to hang around Sydney uni engineering booze artists.
The best thing of all he was very gentle with Zara. He thinks she actually has dysplasia of both hips thus six weekly ultrasounds and visits to him are called for, better than seeing the evil paed but still more doctors, I thought we'd seen enough. Zara will be the most ultrasounded baby ever. What an expensive little girl, it's a good thing she's cute.
